Effect of Long Term Manuring on Soil Carbon Stock and Some Biological Properties under Rice – Rice Cropping System in an Inceptisol of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India

This research was carried out to determine the effect of different manurial treatments on quantity carbon added soil through stubble in rice-rice cropping system, organic stock and its relation biological properties an Inceptisol Bhubaneswar, Odisha. has been contemplated existing Long Term Fertilizer Experiment which is progress since 1994 located Central Research Station, OUAT with Rice-Rice sequence. The experiment dealt six during eighth crop cycle viz, 100% NPK, NPK + FYM, N, NP, +Lime, control (no manuring) 4 replications a randomized block design. Both kharif rabi seasons, rice undisturbed roots meticulously collected, processed, tested for total after harvest. usual approach followed when collecting analyzing samples. Between 1223.5 2571.5 kg/ha 2998.9 6330.85 were absorbed into soil. After rabi, surface ranged from 7.41 12.50 Mg/ha 7.14 11.76 Mg/ha, respectively. kharif, SOC between 3.48 6.51 g/kg 3.35 6.13 g/kg. In NPK+ highest amounts stubble, carbon, MBC found.
